Price by energy, by time, by hour — or by who is plugging in

Two operators with identical hardware can differ by a third in realisation, purely on pricing design. zevOS gives you the levers — energy, time, occupancy, audience and hour of day — and applies them deterministically, with a snapshot of the tariff stored on every session so a price change never rewrites history.

Capabilities

What this gives you

01

Composable pricing

Build a tariff from an energy rate, a time rate, a session fee and an idle fee. Any combination is valid, which is what lets a DC corridor and a workplace AC bank run on the same system.

  • Rate per kWh — the default for DC and most public AC
  • Rate per minute — for slow AC where the socket, not the energy, is scarce
  • Flat session fee — connection or convenience charge
  • Idle fee after a grace period — to clear bays that stopped charging
02

Time-of-day schedules

Define windows with their own rates so peak, off-peak and night pricing follow your DisCom tariff. Windows are evaluated at session start and the applicable rate is locked in.

03

Tariff groups

Group tariffs and assign them to sites or connectors in bulk. Repricing a whole corridor is one change, not two hundred.

04

Audience-based pricing

Give fleet accounts, corporate tenants, society residents or staff their own rate on the same hardware. Driver groups carry the tariff, so a driver simply sees their price.

05

Snapshots, not surprises

When a session starts, the resolved tariff is snapshotted onto it. Editing a tariff tomorrow changes tomorrow’s sessions — never yesterday’s invoices.

Questions

What operators ask about this

Can I show the price before the driver commits?

Yes. The resolved tariff for that driver at that connector is shown on the charging page before the session starts, including any idle fee terms.

How do taxes work?

Tariffs can be defined inclusive or exclusive of GST, and the invoice shows the split either way.

Can two connectors on one charger have different prices?

Yes. Tariff assignment goes down to the connector, which matters when a unit has both an AC and a DC gun.
