Charging guests remember, and staff never have to think about
A guest who can charge overnight books again. A guest who arrives at a hotel advertising charging and finds a broken unit writes a review. Hospitality charging is judged on the same standard as everything else on the property, which means it has to work without anyone on the team becoming a charging specialist.
Hotels & hospitality
Does this sound familiar
Where you probably are right now
- 01You run a hotel, resort or serviced apartment with parking.
- 02Guests increasingly ask about charging when booking.
- 03The front desk and valet team cannot take on a technical system.
- 04You want the cost recovered without making it feel like a charge.
What gets in the way
The problems, and what answers each one
Every answer links to the feature that does the work, so you can check the claim rather than take it.
Guests should not need another app at check-in
A QR code on the unit starts a session from the phone browser with no install, and a guest tariff can be applied to a stay rather than to an account — so the charging appears on the room folio like the minibar does.
Valet parks the car, so the guest never touches the charger
Valet staff get a scoped login limited to your property, able to start and stop sessions and nothing else. Every action is recorded against the person who took it.
Guests, staff and visitors need different rates
Driver groups carry their own tariff on the same connectors — complimentary or folio-billed for guests, subsidised for staff, public rate for anyone else.
A broken charger becomes a review
Availability is monitored continuously with faults decoded and most resets available remotely, so a unit that stops working is known about before a guest finds it.
What changes
What you can do that you could not before
- Charging that appears on the folio rather than as a separate transaction
- Front desk and valet able to help without training
- Electricity cost recovered at whatever level you choose to set
- A charging amenity you can advertise without risking the review
Commercial shape
Usage-based, no subscription
Hospitality charging volumes are seasonal and unpredictable. A fee that only applies to sessions means an off-season month costs nothing.
How pricing worksQuestions
What people in your position ask
Can charging be complimentary for guests but paid for everyone else?
Yes. A zero-rate tariff for the guest group and a public rate for everyone else runs on the same connectors, and you still get the energy reporting to know what the amenity costs you.
Can we bill charging to the room?
Guest sessions can accumulate against a stay and be exported for posting to your PMS folio. Direct PMS integration is available through the API for properties that want it automated.
What about guests who leave the car plugged in all day?
Idle fees are configurable per site with a grace period, and can be exempted overnight — which is usually the right setting for a hotel, where overnight occupancy of a bay is exactly what you want.
